-The Sophia Polytechnic Alumni Association is having its Annual Dinner
- 'Spolaa Nite' on Friday, 4th December, 2009 at 7.00 p.m. on the
Central Lawns of Sophia College. All Alumni are welcome.
At the 'Bandra Festival' organised by the Times of India, Mr. Rajendra
Kurulkar - Lecturer in the Department of Art and Design was appointed
as an expert and he also gave a demonstration on 'The Water Colour
Landscape' on 28th September, 2009.
Dr. (Mrs.) Vidita Rakshit has been appointed Directress of the Polytechnic with effect from 20th October, 2009.
Two of our domestic staff were felicitated this year for completing 25
years of dedicated service to the Polytechnic. Shri Manohar Mohite in
June 2009 and Shri Balwant Rathod in August 2009. Our Directress, Sr.
Ramina Coutinho had a small function for each of them and she gave them
a cheque and a certificate of appreciation.
